Aims & Objectives

Aims

Digital communication & networking course concentrates about detailed knowledge of various aspects of Digital Communication and Network engineering. Its aim is to contribute qualified communication system professionals to the society to change entire facet of the nation in the communication sector. The program aims to cover the fundamental principles of communication and networking. It also deals with the internet protocol design, network application development, mobile networking, network security and design of internet of things based applications. Network security concepts and design will also be covered in this program emphasizing the role of cryptography and web security.

Objectives
  • To create qualified communication system professionals in the society to change entire facet of the nation in the communication sector..
  • To disseminates to students the deeper knowledge in modern digital communication systems and networks at the theoretical & practical level.
  • To introduce students to the principles and applications of computer networks and prepare them to design and develop future generation mobile communication systems and networks.
  • To take up research in the areas of communications and communication networks.

The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has started M.Tech Program in "Digital Communication and Networking", in the year 2013 with an intake of 18. This program is aimed to provide the students with a wide variety of opportunities, both in the Industry as well as in the R & D fields.

The Department possesses a core group of well trained, competent and highly motivated faculty and staff members who have imbibed and adopted some of the best academic practices being followed in India and abroad. The Department has initiated and maintained a continuous dialog with several leading Industries and Alumni.

The major goal of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is to produce highly knowledgeable, competent and resourceful young engineers who can perform well in a wide variety of job profiles. To achieve this, curriculum provides a sound grounding in both the analytic and technological aspects of E&C Engineering. It also provides ample opportunities to students to work on mini-projects, develop communication skills, explore internship opportunities in industry and world-class universities and take part in national and international design contests.
